Automobiles in German Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities reported they were alerted by a man who found a vehicle in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Around 50 automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Officers then located multiple other smeared automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say preliminary tests show the substance was likely human blood.

"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are presently not cognizant of any harm in association with the incident," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking political figure stated the incident made him without words and needed to be solved promptly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, referring to the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
